The Great Wave of Kanagawa

Pelican class were very lucky to have the local artist Martin Gibbons in class for an afternoon of Japanese art. Our subject was the painting of The Great Wave of Kanagawa by Katsushika Hokusai. The children had great fun firstly drawing the wave ,boats and people . Then , step by step, they added colour both acrylic and watercolour to their own picture. The results are amazing - well done everyone and thank you for coming in Mr Gibbons to help.

Thursday 26 September 2024 - European Languages Day

Pelicans had a fun today celebrating the European Languages Day. They spent time learning about

other European languages and where they were spoken, played a language game and then worked collaboratively to produce a European flag wreath. Some pictures to follow once wreath has been constructed.

A perfect day to fly a kite ! Wonderful team work , resilience and problem solving.
