Sports challenges. 2024-2025.

There is one challenge per each half term.

The next competition is long jump, for children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. For children in Years Reception, 1 and 2 it will be a throwing accuracy competition, when they have to throw as many bean bags into a hoop as they can in 2 minutes.

Challenge 4: Throwing

Children in Reception and years 1 and 2 they were throwing a bean bag as far as they could. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 were throwing a howler and were allowed a run up of 5meters before throwing the howler.

Challenge 3: Longer distance running

This consisted of running twice around the school field for Years 5 and 6, once around for Years 3 and 4 and a distance of approximately 400m for Year 2 and a little less for Year 1 and Reception.

Challenge 2: Short distance running

The children had to run various distances depending on which year group they were in and we recorded the top 3 times.

Here are the results: 50 meters - Verity in 13.99 seconds, Ralph in 15.69 seconds and Arthur in 16.44 seconds. 60 meters - Daisy S in 15.96 seconds, Ferne in 16.59 seconds and Elina in 16.82 seconds. 100 meters - Theo in 22.98 seconds, Charlie W in 23.56 seconds and Austin in 24.03 seconds. 100meters - Jacob Hu in 17.89 seconds, Roman in 18.01 seconds and Oscar and Archie L in 23 seconds. 100 meters - Hugo in 17.80 seconds, Rex S in 17.82 seconds and Teddy S in 18.02 seconds. 100 meters - Bennie in 15.5 seconds and Indy and Tyrus in 15.8 seconds. 100 meters - George S in 14.4 seconds, Francesca in 14.9 seconds and Seren in 15.8 seconds.

Challenge 1: Skipping
