DT - exploring motors
7th November 2025........... In Goldfinches we developed our DT skills of South American rainforest animals . We cut out the templates first and then used these to draw the shapes on fabric before sewing them on to a different piece of fabric. Lots of children showed resilience and developed their techniques over the lesson .

Year 4 MTC information.
All Year 4 children will be participating in the multiplication tables check (MTC) in June.
The purpose of the check is to determine whether your child can fluently recall their times tables up to 12, which is essential for future success in mathematics. It will also help your child’s school to identify if your child may need additional support.

Monday 15th September - South America reading cafe
We all had a wonderful time at our first reading cafe of this academic year. First, we read the story 'The Kapok tree' by Lynne Cheery and discussed its meaning. There were many different rainforest activities to complete including using the Chrome books for research, paper chain snakes and hand-print parrots including many others. It was lovely sharing the afternoon with our families and learning all about the wonderful rainforest.
