Today we are going to be analysing somebody else's poem. Read the poem on pages 16 and 17 of the poetry booklet. It is about a park during lockdown 1.

Then I want you to have a go at the clarifying activity on page 18 and the explaining activities on pages 19 and 20.

Today, we are going to apply our learning to solve a more complex problem. You will need to plan, monitor and evaluate.

First, plan - which problem solving strategy are you going to use? Are you going to work backwards or use trial and error or draw pictures?

Now, monitor - is your strategy working? If not, choose a different strategy.

Finally, evaluate - have you reached your goal? How could you check?

In Science, we have been learning about shadows. Today in Art, I would like you to have a go at creating some shadow drawings like this:

There are two activities for you to complete today.

'100' challenge - In honour of Captain Tom

As many of you will know, Captain Sir Tom Moore sadly died last week. He became famous last year during the first lockdown, after challenging himself to walk 100 laps of his garden by his 100th birthday to raise money for the NHS, amazingly he raised over 32 million pounds!!

1. I want you to challenge yourself to complete a physical activity 100 times. This could be completing 100 skips, 100 burpees, 100 star jumps, 100 jumps on your trampoline, 100 laps of your garden.....whatever you like!! If you can, get someone to take a photo and send it in to your class page so everyone can see what you did
