    SOARING TO SUCCESS

Welcome to Edmund de Moundeford Primary School.

It is a real privilege to welcome you to our school community and to share a little of what makes our school such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud to be a school judged Good by Ofsted in 2013, 2017 and 2022, and we remain fully committed to continuous improvement and high standards for every child.

Whether you are a prospective parent exploring schools for your child, or a current family looking for key information, we hope our website gives you a clear insight into our ethos, values and daily life.

    Choosing the Right School

We understand that choosing a primary school is an important decision. Every child deserves to feel happy, safe and inspired, and we would be delighted to show you what Edmund de Moundeford can offer.

The very best way to experience our school is to visit us. We warmly welcome prospective families to arrange a tour at a convenient time. Please contact our office on 01842 828334 or email office@edmund-de-moundeford.norfolk.sch.uk to arrange an appointment or to ask any questions. We are always happy to help.

    Our Ethos and Values

Our vision is simple but powerful: to help every child soar to success.

We are proud of our inclusive and nurturing environment, where each child is encouraged to become the very best version of themselves.

We aim for all our children to be:

    • Happy and confident

    • Resilient and independent

    • Respectful and tolerant

    • Motivated learners who show team spirit

    • Ready to embrace opportunities both now and in the future

Strong partnerships with parents and carers are central to our success. We greatly value the support of families and encourage them to play an active role in school life.

    Learning at Edmund de Moundeford

Teaching and learning at our school is consistently strong. We are proud of the progress children make, reflected clearly in their work and achievements.

Our curriculum is designed to be engaging, ambitious and relevant. It prepares children not only for the next stage of education, but for the wider world — equipping them with the knowledge, skills and character they will need in the future.

Alongside academic achievement, we celebrate the many wider opportunities available to our pupils. We have enjoyed sporting success in netball, hockey, cross country, athletics and football, and we are especially proud to have won the National Key Stage 2 General Knowledge Finals, competing against over 1,000 schools.

We offer a wide variety of after-school clubs — many of which are free — and these change regularly to reflect children’s interests. Clubs have included multi-sports, computing, philosophy, Lego, netball, cheerleading, archery and gardening.

    Our Facilities

We are fortunate to offer excellent facilities, including:

    • An extensive school field

    • Our own indoor swimming pool

    • A well-equipped Learning Resources Centre with sixteen computers

    • Spacious covered outdoor classrooms attached to three classrooms

These facilities enhance learning and provide children with varied and enriching experiences.

    Leadership

Our Senior Leadership Team consists of myself and Mrs Michelle Ablitt, Deputy Headteacher.

Together, we are committed to maintaining high standards, supporting staff and ensuring that every child receives the very best education and care.

    Staying Connected

For current families, our website provides up-to-date information including newsletters, class letters, policies and key dates. Paper copies of any information on this website are available upon request.

We are incredibly proud of our school and the achievements of our children. Edmund de Moundeford is a place where children are supported, challenged and encouraged to believe in themselves.

We hope you enjoy exploring our website, and we look forward to welcoming you to our school.
