Good morning Owls!

I hope you had a lovely and restful weekend. You deserved it after all the hard work you did last week. Lets see if we can keep it going this week! Keep sending in pictures. We love seeing all your amazing work!

Stay safe,

Thinking Time

Is a tomato a fruit or a vegetable?

Today we are going to start a brand new unit on instructions. Do you know what instructions are? Why do we have instructions? Where might you find instructions?

In the lesson today, you are going to listen to a set of instructions, map the instructions out and answer some questions.

We are carrying on with subtracting 2 digits. Have a go at the game to get in the Maths mood. When you watch the video, I would like you to stop at 6:46. It will say "Have a go at questions 1 and 2". Remember, don't do it in your head. Draw the base 10 or use the virtual manipulatives to help you. If you feel confident, have a go at the challenge.

In Science, we are looking at materials. Last week we searched for different properties. Can you remember what a property is?

First, have a look at the star words. Do you know what each word means? Can you think of an object for each of the properties?

Next, I would like you to choose at least 5 different objects from around your house. Use the sentence starters to below to complete a description for each object. If you are unsure, look at the example to help you.

Optional Extras

Can you design your own fruity drink. It might be a smoothie or a juice mix.
