Today, I would like you to do lesson 14 of the Oak National Academy unit or activity 11, 12 and 13 in the unicorn booklet.

Today we are learning about prefixes and suffixes. A root work is a basic word with no prefixes of suffixes (e.g. behave). A prefix is something that you add to the start of a root word (in the word misbehave, the prefix is mis). A suffix is something that you add to the end of a root word (in the word behaved, the suffix is ed).

Watch this video and then have a go at the to do that I have set you on purple mash called word families.

Last week, we built our own pyramids out of lego. Today I would like you to watch this video which explains how the Egyptians built the pyramids. Then I would like you  to write some instructions for building a pyramid.

Thinking time

The pyramids were used as tombs for pharaohs. They were buried with all of the things that they thought they would need in the afterlife. If you were a pharaoh, what would you be buried with?
